Beaches

Fuengirola

has more than seven kms of beautiful golden sand which is equipped with showers, sun-beds and parasols for hire at very reasonable prices, beach shops and sporting activities. There is also plenty of beach space where you can set down your own chair or lay your beach mat for no charge at all.  There is a wealth of fish restaurants with local dishes freshly prepared using the catch of the day. For those who prefer a taste of home there are plenty of burger bars, pizza restaurants and English cafes and pubs. Most sporting activities take place at the Marina, from where you can go sailing, windsurfing, jet skiing and even charter a fishing boat for the day. The Red Cross lifeguard team are on duty from 1st July to 12th September. Take the N340/A7 and exit ‘Fuengirola, Mijas, Cambio de Sentido’.

Los Boliches

continue walking east along Fuengirola beach and you are in Los Boliches. It has the same golden sand, is well maintained and equipped with showers, sun beds and parasols, sporting activities, restaurants and shops. The Red Cross lifeguard team are on duty from 1st July to 12th September. Situated 1km east of Fuengirola, off the N340/A7 coast oad.

Torremolinos

has several kilometres of beaches in excellent condition with all the facilities of other beaches in the area. It also has a long, modern promenade which separates the town centre from the beaches and excellent bars and restaurants with wonderful views. Situated off the N340/A7 coast road between Fuengirola and Malaga

La Cala de Mijas

is situated between Fuengirola and Marbella and is our personal favourite. It is about 2,000 meters long, less crowded than the other local beaches and is ideal for children and families. There is  plenty of beach space where you can set down your own chair or lay your beach mat for no charge at all. Sun beds and parasols are for hire, there are showers , toilets and changing facilities as well as very good beach restaurants with an excellent selection of food to suit all tastes. There is plenty of parking but its better to arrive there early in the peak season of July and August when it can be difficult and congested with visitors to the town and market. Situated between Fuengirola and Marbella off the N340/A7 coast Road.

Cabo Pina

(about 10 kms beyond La Cala) is a more natural beach with wilde dunes; however be aware that the western end is home to a nudist beach.
